People commonly attribute this to there being less or no God in the schools.
And they’re actually right. However, bringing God back is not a matter of government fiat. That was never in the divine charter. Governments needed to answer to God, but not for this. There will need to be a grass roots faith revolution, with both the teachers AND the kids bringing God in with them because they were convinced and accepted individually of His saving power. At some point radical blasphemy may be banned — but not garden variety unbelief.

It used to be everyone knew what natural born citizen meant.

Now we have people arguing, even here on FR, that people born in foreign countries to a foreign national parent (American on one’s mother’s side like Winston Churchill) and anchor babies are natural born citizens.
I’m looking for a conservative Civics curriculum for next year for my homeschooled son. He will be in 7th grade but could handle high school level work. If anyone knows of one please share (not a huge fan of Notgrass).
They were sneaking this stuff into civics classes during the 1980s, calling the USA a “representative democracy” instead of a republic, putting a positive spin on the Seventeenth Amendment (without going into the relation between the Senate and states’ rights prior to that amendment and what the Founding Fathers had intended), and omitting explanation for the need for the Electoral College but implying that it was one of the remaining anachronisms serving as an obstacle to “democracy” et al.
And as I've mentioned, we've all been quite content to demean government, drop civics and in general conspire to produce an unaware and compliant citizenry. The unawareness remains strong but compliance is obviously fading rapidly. This problem demands some serious, serious thinking - and not just poll driven, demographically-inspired messaging.
The Frankfurt School (Marxist-socialists) escaped from Germany to America in the 1940’s. They infiltrated Columbia University as their HQ, then teaching colleges, with a plan to subvert America from within, using our schools to indoctrinate our children, bit by bit, over time. It worked.
I hold pubic school teachers (led by their union and university prof gods) personally responsible for the immoral, ignorant, perverted, Godless condition of America today. Shame on them all.
TFS also infiltrated the Democrat party, unions, news outlets, various associations and many churches (rainbows).
Thanks for posting this, Doug. It’s perfect timing for me. I’ve been trying to educate a young relative of my husband’s, who has no clue what it means to be an American. I’m all talked out, and must wrap my head in duct tape. I’ll toss this article at her, in a last ditch effort. It won’t work, but I’ll know I tried.
Because events surrounding this election have so many folks shaking their heads at the abysmal behavior of the media here, it is even MORE timely now. Some of you have heard me refer to Dr. Gary North’s prescient comment that the Marxist’s plan to take down America is to “...capture the ROBES”. By that he meant those in positions of authority (i.e. professors, judges, clergy, etc.) who periodically don the vestments of that authority. If you have a child mid-way through nearly any major college or university, you probably understand how well these cultural Marxists have succeeded. And it only cost you $50K +/- a year!

teaching truth in our public schools can only be achieved by first outlawing PC speak. The truthful saying of “it is what it is” to any American should always be elevated over the liberal public ed system’s teaching of “it is what we tell you it is”.
There was a scene in the movie “Dazed and Confused”, which is supposed to take place in 1976, and the teacher tells her students as they head out for summer vacation:
“Okay guys, one more thing, this summer when you’re being inundated with all this American bicentennial Fourth Of July brouhaha, don’t forget what you’re celebrating, and that’s the fact that a bunch of slave-owning, aristocratic, white males didn’t want to pay their taxes.”
No, just their money. But if government steals it from you on their behalf, it's all good.

I have been warning parents about this for years. No loyal American in his/her right mind would subject a child to this anti-American indoctrination. But a countless number of parents are now so thoroughly indoctrinated that they have now become complicit in turning their own children against our country.
