The Island originally was Watson Island! Pappy Chalk’s Air Service was on SW tip of island. My family fished often at Mr. Chalk’s landing ramp. He flew Grumman amphibians(Apaches, and Wigeons(?).
Jungle Island(Different Organization) was on the Miami River at 27 Ave. Col. Paul Warfield Tibbets, Jr. lived a few blocks away just prior to WW2.
