Uhg
Let’s see what he means before we throw up our hands.
I will wait and see.
I figure what we are going to see is similar to the FEMA flood insurance.
Cant pay for it? Then the government will offer a high risk pool to those who cant through the states. Much like the old PCIP plans that were offered before Obastard care.
It’ll be a loser big time.
Are we up for Obamacare 2.0?
Don’t worry, Trump is no fool. It’s clear what the bill will look like and it’s going to be much more market driven. Trump isn’t going to try and sell the plan with ,”if you can’t pay too bad, die”. Moreover, print media is stupid and they always miss the point of what he says (think my times meeting right after the election)
i agree - wait and see...depends on how it is done and what.
Right now, if you don’t have insurance, due to laws, you goto the emergency room and they can’t turn you away...
However, there needs to be a difference in coverage. There has to be a reason to work.
Universal insurance is the one liberal idea that I agree on except it must also include free enterprise and keep people for going just for anything without paying.
I bet Trump can figure out how to do it without the huge failure of it in the UK, Canada etc.
Use the money saved by not funding the UN and NATO. I don’t expect Trump to do much of anything in the standard way
everybody on medicare ?
Why is it that my car insurance Inhad in Texas transferred to Utah; but the medical insurance I have in Utah is NOT EVEN AVAILABLE in Texas?
Congress needs to get out of the insurance business. It is not in the constitution, Congress critters are generally very stupid creatures, and they manage to screw up everything they touch. Simply allow insurance companies to compete inter-state like car insurance does.
Insurance is nothing more than “risk transfer”. I opt to pay some amount of money to transfer the risk from me, to a company. If someone chooses not to transfer the risk, then they accept the risk. This risk may be steep financial liability or death. These are adults making adult decisions. If we are going to do “free insurance” I could be persuaded to consider minors under the age of 21. If you are not a legal adult, you cannot make an adult decision.
I’m all for this.
Good job Donald. We spend the most (by far) of any nation on the entire earth on Healthcare.
The most. Anywhere. Yet there are millions of Americans who are not covered by anyone. Because they simply cannot get coverage.
Anywhere.
That is INEXCUSABLE.
The GOP was in charge for a long time. And did NOTHING.
Trump is taking the right approach.
Good for him. Go Trump.
I’m not saying he’s there now, but here’s what Trump has said in the past. Make of it what you will.

1.) Repeal Obamacare.
2.) Dust off the law that was in effect the day before Obamacare was passed.
3.) Make that the law again.
It can all be done in one day.
Trump needs to cut back on his tweeting and pronouncements, get through the inauguration, then get with his advisers and cabinet members and formulate some more specific plans and policy initiatives to carry out his agenda.
And also implement what he can simply by enforcing the law and reversing Obama’s EOs.
It was just as bad then.
We need to FIX THINGS.
Not go back to the problems that led to Obamacare in the first place.
Shouldn’t be a surprise, he said this throughout the campaign. “Nobody will be allowed to die in the streets”. But there are lots of ways to do this way less intrusively and expensively than Obamacare.
Exactly what he’s said all along.
What we have now is much much worse. We can fix the problematic portions of the previous law one problem at a time. It wasn’t perfect but it worked. If we have to wait until we have a brand new comprehensive healthcare package, it will never get done. Get it done now and start over from square one.
