This will definitely backfire. Many times. And in many ways.
They don't realize it but all these tantrums will just mean that no one will take them seriously any more. No one will trust them to run their towns, states, or the country.

If Zero won't get out of our national face, it gives Trump an active enemy to work against, and helps him keep rallying his troops for the next battle. That's way different from the way things usually go, which is, by the end of the first two years, a new President is the only target in the room. People are criticizing him from both sides, and he loses legislative seats, and a lot of his momentum, in the mid-terms.

Optimally, we would see black Dems fighting feminist Dems, white socialists, Hispanics, and Muslims for dominance of the Dem party.
