Years ago I saw an interview with Tom Selleck (be still my heart) and he was asked a question about - I don't know - the "meaning" of his work or something like that. But his answer was so perfect, to wit, "it's not like we're curing cancer in this business."
The funniest thing (as in, pathetic) about these over-indulged narcissists is they actually think their little outbursts mean something "important."
