“How do you manage to pretend that one out of every three people in the country isn’t hopped up on some experimental product of the pharmaceutical industry specifically intended to alter mental state?”

I never said they weren’t. The fact is about 15 million are on psychotropic drugs, not 1 in 3. I know, exaggeration for effect, but I also agree with you. Pharma has created zombies. Children as young as 3 getting drugged to be calm, etc.

I am all for the same standards for pot being applied to ALL drugs; hence, the War on Some Drugs title I like to use.

Certainly the 1 in 3 number is true over even a brief period of time ,, say 5-10 years ... Your “cure” would leave the majority of (currently) working people on SSI as they could never recover from the damage you want to impose. There simply aren’t enough car wash and gardener positions for your plan to work.

A law that was meant to protect the public, rather than to be used as a tool of oppression, would penalize reckless driving only and wouldn’t care if the reckless driver were high on every substance known to man, or stone cold sober.

There’s simply no way to open the “what’s in your bloodstream” can of worms without eventually having to include everyone, or be a screaming, tyranny-and-injustice-promoting hypocrite.
