During last night’s NBC Dateline special on President Obama‘s legacy, the outgoing Commander-in-Chief reflected on 2016 and the “surprise” he felt at Donald Trump‘s win.
He told Lester Holt that he thinks he and his team are pretty good at seeing things coming––but not Trump’s victory. Part of that, Obama said, is due to the fact that the polling was so off.
He admitted there was a lot of disappointment at Hillary Clinton‘s loss, as well as the broader loss for the Democratic party.
Obama conceded, “I had trouble transferring my personal popularity or support to the broader cause of the Democratic party.”
He said it was difficult for him to both run the country and rebuild the “grassroots party apparatus” his part

Yes - The Obama era was and still is a personality cult just as millions of level headed Americans have known from the start.
And just as millions of other feeble minded Obama worshipers cannot bear to let go of their false messiah and deal with a return to a constitutional government.
But we now do have a chance to begin the long, hard fight to turn America back into a nation of laws instead of one governed by a man who sees himself as America’s Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Robert Mugabe or Papa Doc Duvalier.

The truly sad thing to me is that a fair amount of Americans actually do worship him. It is an indication of how disturbed our nation currently is.
Maybe Trump can turn it around but that is sure not a certainty.

The democrats win in a few large city areas. Outside of that Obama is hated or greatly disliked because he’s a loser, who isn’t a very good thinker. His world view is that of a man who can’t grasp reality or how the world should work. Leftist are envious and jealous of others. Their lack of reasoning leads to decline of civilization.

He is about to find out how few people like him once he can no longer do political favors for them; while he apparently envisions a future role for himself in the Democratic Party leadership, the 2016 election disaster showed just how toxic he truly is, and how miserably he failed to move the Party forward.
Just as he spent the last 8 years talking to ghetto folk while ignoring everyone else, he’ll spend the rest of his life moving in such circles where he can still impress people because he apparently has no bastard children or drug habits.
