In case anyone cares to know ...... Molly was NOT. Texan, she was born in Missouri and the family moved to Colorado when she was a teen. She married there and lived in CO till way after her husband died and she spent her later years in New York (as an actress, If memory serves me right).

I am curious how the author comes up with the idea, that Margaret Tobin; she was never known as Molly which is something Hollywood made up, was from Texas.

Maybe she and her family traveled through Texas to get to Colorado, but that doesn't mean she is from there.

I read the reader replies and none mentioned Molly Brown at all. Makes me wonder if they read the op-ed at all.
