Former Democratic presidential nominee Michael Dukakis, who lost to George H.W. Bush in 1988, re-upped his call to abolish the Electoral College after Hillary Clinton’s loss to Donald Trump on Tuesday.
He lost to Bush by 7 million votes in 88 so it would have made no difference. The elec vote is needed so that more than just NY, New England and Calif. choose the President. (Look at 88...Bush won several states you wouldn’t expect including Calif..)
