The ignorance on display in this thread is breath-taking! Not your standard FR fare. For 50+ years what this man did in trying to escape Castro and Cuba was perfectly legal and encouraged. Unilaterally as his last final flashing finger of fate, was to make their escapes illegal. And some ignoramuses don’t seem to even know wth they are talking about here. Unbelievable.
No, no ignorance on display here, there never should've been an EXCEPTION for Cuban's in the first place! The policy "if you make it here, you become a citizen" (after a year) has been ridiculous. It should've never been enacted, period.
