Marco Rubio is back in the thick of it.
The Florida Republican, who reversed his decision to quit the Senate after his losing the GOP presidential nomination, suddenly finds himself at the center of the political intrigue swirling around Donald Trump's nascent administration.
Rubio's tough questioning Wednesday of Rex Tillerson, Trump's pick for secretary of state, and unresolved doubts about the former ExxonMobil chief's nomination, present him with a set of provocative political choices.

Rubio has that bleary, watery eyed look of a heavy drinker.
Cost him? He is still there and making points with Schumer.
“So, Marco, you’re telling us that in your opinion John Kerry was acceptable as Secretary of State but Rex Tillerson is not?”
That is indeed the question that needs to be asked of Rubio. Also for McCain if he decides to vote against Tillerson.
“His work with McCain and Graham in arming terrorists in Libya is likely to end his career soon anyway.”
That story needs to be totally exposed. A lot of us know that they were working with Obama to support the terrorists including ISIS.
Has anyone here noticed this? Whenever there’s an article from one of these news rags, and the article is particularly damaging, they almost always have two or more writers. Why is that?
No I hate those PR***s!! Hate’em!! My point was that sooner or later Communist Nazi Network will pit good pubs against each other...the 3amigos should be severely punished and pinned against the wall!!
The contrast between “Little Marco” and T Rex was astounding. You have this little punk kid on the one hand questioning an adult, who is truly on the world stage.
Go ahead, Little Marco, delay or vote against T Rex. Your political career is just about over anyway, you pull this stunt, and it will over much quicker, but on the other hand, you will giving Trump another victory.
If McConnell doesn't want his wife's nomination threatened, he needs to let Rubio know he will be given the Cruz treatment in the next Senate, perhaps even stripping Rubio of choice committee assignments.
Does McConnell have it in him to rein in his own caucus?

The little gay bastard only won reelection because Trump was on the ballot.
I think he will come around.
Too bad the people of Arizona keep reelecting Crazy McCain and are in no mood to demand a recall.
YUK!!!! Where in the hell is he in all those SUDS??? I hope it’s BEER SUDS!
Please name ANOTHER SANE DEMOCRAT??? I know of No others.
I hope that is the case. While there has been talk of Red-State Democrats, the lock-step voting on the Obama care repeal has me placing minimal faith in them.
I suspect that Trump will use the bully pulpit to do exactly that, given these eleventh hour shenanigans.
His work with McCain and Graham in arming terrorists in Libya is likely to end his career soon anyway.

His parents were Cuban nationals when he was born.
He is not a natural born citizen.
He is not eligible to be President.

Not too long ago Rubio was a Tea Party favorite and considered a solid conservative by many (or most) activists.
During the primaries he had changed to persona non grata by activist conservatives.
It may be that no one could have defeated Trump in this years primaries, but Rubio’s betrayal kept him from being the conservative, non-Trump alternative.
Tillerson is a brilliant intellect being questioned by a group of mental midgets. 90% of the people questioning him would not qualify as a middle manager at McDonald’s.
On net it has not cost Rubio anything. That may change in the Trump administration.
It's true that Democrats are in much worse shape than Republicans, but that isn't because of internal divisions. The Democrats are in shambles because A. they don't know how to govern and B. they've alienated white voters. The media loves to talk about how Republicans alienate blacks and Hispanics, but just barely acknowledge how liberal Democrats have been giving the middle finger to whites (especially blue collar whites) for decades.
When it comes to party unity, Democrats march lockstep much more than Republicans do. For example, it was obvious that any and all viable Democrats were told not to run against Hillary because it was "her turn," and they obeyed - only unelectables and no-names made a token show to make the process seem like a real election rather than a coronation. When Bernie got too big for his britches, the DNC put him in his place (as the DNC hacks revealed). When Hillary was nominated, Bernie and all other Democrats wasted no time endorsing her.
In contrast, the Republican primaries were (mostly) wide open no matter how hard the party tried to inflict Jeb upon us. After the primaries, many prominent Republicans not only didn't endorse Trump, they actively tried to sabotage his candidacy during the election. Now they're trying to stall Trump's cabinet appointments. No prominent Democrat attempted to do the same to Hillary, and no House or Senate Democrats ever questioned any of Obama's cabinet appointments. So Democrats are failures in spite of their party unity, while Republicans are relatively successful in spite of their relative lack of party unity.
The upside to all this is that conservatives tend to be independent-minded while liberals think and act in lockstep.
