OSTERHOLZ-SCHARMBECK , Germany, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army plans to deploy about 4,000 troops to Poland in early 2017 in a demonstration of strength aimed at Russia, a senior U.S. military official said.
Lt. Gen. Frederick Hodges, commander of U.S. Army Europe, said Tuesday the personnel would arrive in Germany and then be transferred to Poland. He made his remarks Tuesday at an army logistics school in Osterholz-Scharmbeck in northern Germany. He said northern Germany would be a logistics hub for U.S. troops deploying to Central and Eastern European countries.
The placement of troops in Poland, part of NATO's Atlantic Resolve operation, is meant to secure peace in Europe and offer a show of strength to Russia, Hodges added. An armored brigade of the U.S. military, currently in Colorado, will also be sent to Poland.
NATO, at a July summit meeting in Warsaw, agreed to deploy four rotating multinational battalions, each with about 1,000 troops, to Eastern European countries to counter anxiety about possible Russian aggression.
Why is Dumb’O doing this one week before he goes?
So they must know that Russians still have their first strike protocol in effect. They have stated such. Plan D must commence within hours. My guess anyway.
The Poles and Czechs were furious with Obama for the cancellation of the missile installations. The leaders had sacrificed political capital and invited the wrath of the Russians by agreeing to the stationing of the systems on their soil.
Now, at this late date, Obama sends tripwire troops to Poland. What an ass.
What are Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium and the rest of Nato contributing as far as force levels?
My guess...no where near what the US is putting in place, so they can have big social welfare benefit programs.
Time for all of them to step up to the plate!
Let’s try to be sure that the “BOOM” stays with the legacy of Zero!
huh?
Just imagine our reaction if Russia deployed 4,000 troops to Mexico or Canada after already having based hundreds of combat aircraft and thousands more troops close to our borders. What we are doing is a clear provocation, and is not only dangerous but reckless.
Obama and neocons are hell bent to start WWIII. Trump should seek to prosecute them the day one he becomes president
Utter madness. Russia is not threatening Poland in any way. Crimea is a totally different matter entirely.
Why can’t Poland draft 4,000 recruits? They’d be more motivated.
The globalists are hellbent on starting this war with Russia. Graham was sabre rattling just last night on Fox. They’re upset Russia bailed out Assad and interfered with the their Middle East money grab. They act like the money and resources are already theirs, just because the had already agreed amongst themselves who would get the spoils from that sector. They will stop at nothing to fulfill their evil plans. Nato is their appearance of consensus. If Trump doesn’t re-prioritize things it isn’t going be long until WWIII is in full swing. And these greedy bas tards aren’t so athiestic.
My guess is Putin is just ROTFLHAO!
They were talking about this on Bret Baer. They figured Obama was trying to put Trump in a box.
I honestly think they were trying to start a war in the last weeks of Obama.... tie it in to the recent huge Fake News story that went worldwide... They thought they could pretend Donald Trump was a full paid up KGB spy... so declare martial law and invade Russia... to keep the warmongering NWO in power. Threat of Nuclear war? a small price to pay for them to remain in power .... at least until they die.
My first thought when they started arriving yesterday. Since we know he doesn’t come up with this stuff, I was wondering about Jarrett’s future plans.
Hopefully Trump puts a stop to this on January 20 as it really serves no purpose for the US.
