Here is my strategy:
1. Identify the most conservative judge possible.
2. Hold that name and nominate Ted Cruz.
3. If Cruz is confirmed AWESOME. If NOT, make it a bruising fight. “WHAT do Liberals and DEMOCRATS have against Latino nominees.” Go full tilt OUTRAGE.
4. Nominate the first Judge identified.
The Democrats get a hollow victory. Cruz remains in Senate. We be an arch-conservative on the SC.
Save Cruz for the second opening. We need him to drive term limit legislation.
I don’t think Trump wants to give them the optics of a victory, as hollow as it may be.
He should go Atilla the Hun on them.
