I disagree. People can not be saved from themselves. That’s true at all levels from the individual to the national.
They have to find their own way out of the hole they’ve dug themselves or they’ll never be whole again.
Encourage them? Sure. Offer moral support? Of course. Provide arms? That rarely works as intended.
I don’t see how it can get worse.
