Why should temples, mosques and churches not pay property taxes?

Excellent question. I'll answer your question with another question — if they pay taxes, shouldn't they be able to be involved in elections, and steer politics and influence the government?

How much money and influence do you think Churches like the Catholic Church might have? Millions of dollars, billions of dollars? Millions of members?

And do you want religious orgs controlling our government and our daily lives?
