(CNN)CNN's decision to publish carefully sourced reporting about the operations of our government is vastly different than Buzzfeed's decision to publish unsubstantiated memos. The Trump team knows this. They are using Buzzfeed's decision to deflect from CNN's reporting, which has been matched by the other major news organizations.
We are fully confident in our reporting. It represents the core of what the First Amendment protects, informing the people of the inner workings of their government; in this case, briefing materials prepared for President Obama and President-elect Trump last week.

>CNN is shown in airports, waiting areas, and other public places. They need to divest themselves of CNN.

Looks to me like Buzzfeed took their cue from CNN...
CNN Bombshell
CNN says it is not reporting the details of the memos because it has not verified them. It adds that while the information was circulating for months, the intelligence community has now checked out the former British intelligence operative and his vast network throughout Europe and find him and his sources to be credible enough to use the information in briefings. However, intelligence officials also found the information sensitive enough to only provide it to Trump, President Obama, and the eight chairs and ranking members of the House and Senate intelligence committees, CNN says. Again, theres no indication so far as to whether the intelligence community believes the British operatives reports to be accurate. Even if the operatives sources are genuine, for example, they might be trying to sow misinformation, which the unclassified version of the report on alleged Russian hacking noted was a favorite Kremlin tactic.
Shortly after CNNs report, BuzzFeed posted what it says is the full 35-page memo on which the shorter memo delivered to Trump and others is based. BuzzFeed said it had not verified the report and that it contained some clear errors.

Yes, the First Amendment protects fake news.
As it should.
ONLY the citizens are in a position to determine what’s “fake”.

“carefully sourced reporting “
Give us names.
Hint:
“senior officials who declined to be identified” is not a proper name

we were not publishing any of the details of the 35-page document because we have not corroborated the report's allegations. No, they were not publishing it, just reporting on uncorroborated allegations from unknown sources.

True... it’s like the Onion trying to convince the public that it is reporting a true news story. Not going to happen.

What "British" person uses the word "Soccer"?
In England they call it "Football."
