Al Sharpton will be marching on Washington on Martin Luther King Day, just five days before President-elect Donald Trumps inauguration. It may be a lonely walk.
Sharptons We Shall Not Be Moved march has piqued the interest of fewer than 1,000 people on Facebook. A rival event, the Womens March on Washington, has already secured 175,000 RSVPs, with an additional 250,000 people saying theyre interested in attending.
Two key organizers of the Womens March are former executive directors of National Action Network, the civil-rights nonprofit Sharpton founded in 1991. Led almost exclusively by women of color, the Womens March is expected to draw a diverse crowd, which will include much of the same black audience Sharpton has long dominated.
The Womens March, itself, will be held on Jan. 21 a week after Sharptons event. That essentially forces out-of-town activists to choose which inaugural protest to attend.
If Facebooks numbers are any indication, theyre abandoning Sharpton by a ratio of at least 175 to one. A source close to Sharpton says the Rev is hoping to draw at least 5,000 people. But even that would be a small showing compared to the Womens Marchs expected attendance.

But a source close to the Rev said: Sharptons very worried, because obviously, it would be a big embarrassment if no one shows up. Publicly, they say, Were all getting along. Behind the scenes, theyre fighting like cats and dogs, and Sharpton was trying to get them not to hold the rally until March.
“Last time a saw a photo of him, he looked like hed been eat up by AIDS.”
He looks like a “human Pez dispenser!”
America is FED UP with the dehumanization of each other.

It is reported that White Women who responded to the “Women’s March” are being made to feel “unwelcome”.
Funny...the “March For Life” is always huge, well attended by every race, color, creed, and gender, and goes largely unreported by the media, year after year after year after year.
The March For Life is AWESOME, and goes largely unreported by the biased media.
