I see your point... this article is examining this question from Judeo-Christian values, which are, as it states, human beings are infinitely valuable.

As such, it is dealing in generalities, where the responses of myself and others here deal with specifics, that being more the application for those of us living here at ground level.

If you term such a real-life perspective as 'pop culture', your definition is different from mine.

Good points, understood.

In terms of pop culture, I was just talking about the way lots of people actually do form a big picture world view based on the way they are directly influenced by pop culture. And what I find despicable are the particular elements of pop culture that do this intentionally. I certainly would only hope to warn people about it, not to speak insultingly to them. It seems likely you’re aware of these things already without having to listen to my advice.
