Of course that doesn't suggest that cats, dogs and trees have *no* value. But if forced to choose whether a dog or a human got the last seat on the lifeboat I know how I'd choose.
To answer the question, most are. Some are not.
yes!!! I love my pets but i would shoot them dead to save my daughters.
In my view, one of the worst moral and intellectual errors of our current society is the valuing of animals above humans.
The trick of Enviros is to act as if humans are not part of nature.
But humans and all our actions are as natural as any animal and its actions on this planet. Everything we make or use is natural to this planet also, even so-called synthetics. Everything comes from right here except meteorites and so is natural!
99.9999% of all animals on this planet have gone extinct and will continue to go extinct because that’s natural. “Saving” animals that are going extinct is not natural. If a lion can eat the last deer on the planet, it will. It doesn’t care about “saving the species”.
The environmentalist ideal of “natural” is actually a denial of nature. It is an attempt to create a unnatural world, a worldwide zoo/botanical garden where the lion lays down with the lamb. It’s bunk.
As soon as they stop all eagles from eating rabbits, I will stop eating meat.
That’s what they get for being lower on the food chain.
I love Jesus the most, my wife next, my dogs third, other people, not so much.
Simple test to find the answer: When a human eats an animal, how much press coverage is there? Reverse the roles, same question.
