Last year in NY state had a tenant from hell who worked the ‘house is uninhabitable so I’m withholding rent’ gig - 3 months of pain and lawyers before he was out. Turns out he had worked this scam in NY his entire life
This is a place we have rented for the last 18 years to 7 different tenants. All tenants are still on friendly terms.
