The liberal ABC-Disney Television Network generated outrage during its televised coverage of the Houston Texans victory over the Oakland Raiders Saturday night in the Wild Card round of the AFC Playoffs, but it had nothing to do with the football.
Instead many viewers were annoyed at a promo for next Wednesdays episode of ABCs sitcom Black-ish, which features a predominantly African-American cast being decidedly anti-Trump in tone and nature.
In the promo, which bills the episode as the election through the eyes of Black-ish, Lucy (a white character played by Christine Reitman) tells her predominantly African-American co-workers: I voted for Trump! before adding the clichéd justification, Im a racist? I have black friends!
In another scene, her colleague Daphne (Wanda Sykes) appears to kick out at her for merely expressing that she had chosen to cast her vote for the Republican Party.
Meanwhile the shows protagonists Dre and Rainbow Johnson are seen looking crestfallen at the outcome of the election while in another scene Rainbow shouts Go Hillary!
The promo announcer goes on to promise: Oh theyll be tweeting about this one!
People already are tweeting about the episode before its being aired but its not what ABC owned by Disney wants to read. Football fans are objecting to Trump voters being ridiculed in such a tiresome and predictable fashion.
Why does the NFL keep playing an anti-Trump commercial for the terrible show Blackish? wrote one tweeter. They must not know their audience. Another viewer fumed: I am offended at the preview for the show #blackish about voting for Trump makes you a racist!
Matt Falk tweeted: No one watch #blackish. Not everyone who voted for Trump is a racist, That show caters to the lowest common denominator while Steve James declared on the online social networking service:

Are you still watching the NFL?
I’ve made it a point to not watch the NFL since the mid 80s.
Since then, I may have seen a whole hours worth since.
The last good thing on ABC was Agent Carter. It was the only ABC show I watched in the past several years at least.
Are you kidding? I'm in Arizona.
Who watches this cr*p??? I’d be embarrassed to say I had nothing better than to do.
Do not mess with NFL fans at playoffs time.
Their audience for the most part are OK with kaepernick and Beyonce BLM activities.
Shoot your TV, problem solved.

(Oh, wait)
I hardly watch any tv shows, mostly live sporting events.
But the way I see it,
ABC wants to portray blacks and black families not only as losers, but lousy sore losers, that sure would generate some outrage from the black communities, no?
It is racist to complain about blatant racism by minorities. No sarcasm, just sad truth in today’s PC America. Hopefully Trump can help put an end to this BS.
That was funny!
He ran for President as a Republican.
If Trump won, or if Hillary won, I would not be watching network material about blacks.
(Ahem) He's also a White -Supremist.
I haven’t watched a football game all year...and I love the Denver Broncos; Pittsburg Steelers and the Green Bay Packers...
Nor will I be watching the ‘Boring Globe’ highs tonight, I could care less about any of them...I’m not into movies, except English Movies, like Father Brown, Rosemary and Thyme, etc. I certainly will be boycotting all of hollyWEED from now on...they don’t have time for the President Of The United States Donald J. Trump, I don’t have time for them...even RED BOX is being boycotted by me now...not one RED CENT will be spent on any of them!!!
My RANT for the night...lol...
Liberal blacks. Self-hating whites. Possibly other blacks.
I saw it, not from football game. So clichéd. The name of that program should be, Not even remotely “funny-ish.”
Glenn Reynolds (Instapundit) has been arguing for years that the tax breaks the movie industry get in general are obscene. Do way with them and you wouldn’t have so much of this bias among other things.
