The liberal ABC-Disney Television Network generated outrage during its televised coverage of the Houston Texans’ victory over the Oakland Raiders Saturday night in the Wild Card round of the AFC Playoffs, but it had nothing to do with the football.
Instead many viewers were annoyed at a promo for next Wednesday’s episode of ABC’s sitcom Black-ish, which features a predominantly African-American cast being decidedly anti-Trump in tone and nature.
In the promo, which bills the episode as the “election through the eyes of Black-ish”, Lucy (a white character played by Christine Reitman) tells her predominantly African-American co-workers: “I voted for Trump!” before adding the clichéd justification, “I’m a racist? I have black friends!”
In another scene, her colleague Daphne (Wanda Sykes) appears to kick out at her for merely expressing that she had chosen to cast her vote for the Republican Party.
Meanwhile the show’s protagonists Dre and Rainbow Johnson are seen looking crestfallen at the outcome of the election while in another scene Rainbow shouts “Go Hillary!”
The promo announcer goes on to promise: “Oh they’ll be tweeting about this one!”
People already are tweeting about the episode before it’s being aired but it’s not what ABC– owned by Disney– wants to read. Football fans are objecting to Trump voters being ridiculed in such a tiresome and predictable fashion.
“Why does the NFL keep playing an anti-Trump commercial for the terrible show Blackish?” wrote one tweeter. “They must not know their audience”. Another viewer fumed: “I am offended at the preview for the show #blackish about voting for Trump makes you a racist!”
Matt Falk tweeted: “No one watch #blackish. Not everyone who voted for Trump is a racist, That show caters to the lowest common denominator” while Steve James declared on the online social networking service:

The worst one was on Saturday Night Live when they said that apparently all those people you see riding the busses vote. That one sentence is so racist, sexist, elitist. I will never watch Saturday Night live and I suggest nobody does. It has become common place and accepted to mock us in a way that goes well beyond the definition of comedy. But if we did it to them.. HOLY COW. (Can I still say that?)
I prefer to watch White-ish.
In case any real Americans were not offended enough to turn off the NFL forever, they took this extra step to finish the job.
It is time to put our money where our mouths are. Boycott all advertisers on that show and Saturday Night Live for that matter.
I like period pieces of the W.W. II vintage and I loved “Agent Carter”. Hated when they canceled it. There is very little on the MSM’s that are even any good to watch.
I about at the point of totally cutting the cord. I have Hulu and Amazon and that is about all I need.

I was spitting nails and they ran it twice..then my tv went... CLICK!!! I felt like a CAPTIVE audience and had no choice but to view their freakin garbage!!!...FERS!!!! I hate them...they are going to pull this shit like they did bush for FREAKIN 4yrs....I DESPISE HELLywood and can’t wait for it to sink into the ocean...sorry califreepers..but they pissed me off!!!!

Agent Carter was a pricey production which was one of the problems.
I really like High Castle on Amazon as well. At times the pace could pick up some.
And the NFL wonders why their ratings are sliding.
I was kinda of watching the game until that commercial. Immediately changed the channel. TV is garbage.
Wanda Sykes is in it? She’s a truly awful person. That’s enough right there for me to wish this show into the cornfield.

Does the NFL have any control over commercials/promos on the networks during its games? If not, the NFL can’t be blamed for them.
