No Obama does not have confidence.

Confidence is a self assurance based on past accomplishments and the fulfilled expectations of your betters and peers.

No Obama has unwarranted arrogance. Obama had no accomplishments of record prior to entering the office of the President other than being elected to office.

Unwarranted arrogance is nothing to applauded, it is a vice not a virtue.

Arrogance will lead a man to attempt task for which he is unprepared and incapable of completing successfully. Such a man will lead followers to ruin. Such a man is foolish and those who follow him destined for failure.

Thus the explanation of the Democrats drubbing in the resent election.
