Health insurance companies fared quite well for most of my adult life....I don't know why they won't again unless government gets in the way.

Some proposed solutions involve decoupling health insurance from employment. I think that call it transportable. I'd remove that burden from business completely. Business's higher profits would find there way into employees pockets. Let the people shop for what they want and need. Prices will drop.
There's a concept out there known as "Association Health Plans".
They are very much like an employer's group, including national coverage, but unlike the formen, you can join an association...like the NRA for example, or a credit union.
There needs to be some restrictions, however, as one of the things that makes the "guaranteed issue" aspect of employer groups work, is: If you're health enough to work, you're probably healthy enough to insure.
That would not necessarily be true of the membership of an association.
And lest we forget, ObieCare was designed to fail so that we’d be forced to go to single payer socialized national health care for all. That would have been realized with Hillary’s election.
So true, and forgotten by many, especially Barry O admitting a long time ago that getting to single payer would take time....
