And the German left screams “anti-Russian provocation !”. Apparently, they have many FR allies. I wonder what they say when Trump won't undo this decision. I guess they will call him a NWO neocon globalist.

You mean like when they “ forgot” to brief Bush about how the Chinese were playing increasingly aggressive game of chicken with our South China Sea recon aircraft ?

Too busy stealing “w’s” from the computer keyboards

Trump should have an early Valentine’s Day homecoming for all the troops stationed in ridiculous places.

Yeah, that transition is going so well, huh.

At least half of NATO countries may be only a generation away from Islamic control. The US needs to get out of it now, perhaps by forming a new alliance with Poland, Lithuania and some others who aren’t surrendering to Muslim invaders.

Re: Donald Trump: ‘Putin has eaten Obama’s lunch’ on Ukraine

Is this fake news? It seems uncharacteristic for Trump at this point, and the video doesn’t work.

No, it isn’t "fake news". It’s from the Today Show 2014. The video works perfectly well for me.

As for Trump’s *honest* views on Putin, do you seriously think it was an “oversight” on his part when choosing staunch Putin critics like Pence, Sessions and others, to fill top positions in his administration? That he didn’t know beforehand what they thought about that KGB thug.

They might not terrify the Russians, but they sure terrify me.

That deployment is not a last minute decision. It was announced on March 30th last year - way before Trump’s victory - and it must have been in the plans much earlier.

Obama attempted to paint Romney as somehow out-of-touch with 21st century geo-politics, suggesting (ironically, as we now know) that al-Qaeda was a bigger threat than Russia. “You said Russia. Not al-Qaeda. You said Russia,” Obama said regarding biggest threats. Then came this snarky blast:

“The 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because…the Cold War’s been over for 20 years.”

That deployment is not a last minute decision.

Exactly. By taking the deployment out of context, this is the perfect illustration of how the MSM and bloggers get by with fake news they can claim is 'true'. And FReepers are embarrassingly willing to swallow this garbage.

I wonder if the kaserne at Garlstadt is still in functioning shape. It was built around 1980 for 2nd Armored Division Forward. It would be a good staging base for new USAREUR units to stage through enroute to new bases in the Baltics and/or Poland.

Did he send tanks to protect Germany from the invading hordes who are raping the women and killing Germans?

I think some of our bases were turned into housing for “ migrants”

Which with another million muslim men looking to invade Germany and go on welfare there, WTH are we defending

If this continues the german people might be begging the Russians for help

McGruff: Historically it’s been Germany rolling tanks into other countries.

Berlin_Freeper: Except these tanks are welcomed. Not so much by the Putin fanboys though.

Lithuanians, Ukrainians, Latvians and Estonians welcomed German tanks. They were not Stalin fanboys.

Re: Donald Trump: ‘Putin has eaten Obama’s lunch’ on Ukraine

Here’s the same 2014 NBC Today Show interview on YouTube...

And, for the sake of convenience, here again is a partial text from the interview...
(he makes Matt Lauer look like a complete ass, which isn’t all that difficult)
______________________________________

Donald Trump slammed President Obama Thursday on TODAY for failing to take a stronger line against President Vladimir Putin in dealing with Ukraine, saying he feared Obama would now make up for lost time with imprudent moves to “show his manhood.”

The real estate mogul and reality-TV star, who has criticized Putin for sending military troops into Crimea, said Obama must now take fierce steps to prevent the situation from escalating further.

“We should definitely do sanctions and we have to show some strengths. I mean, Putin has eaten Obama’s lunch, therefore our lunch, for a long period of time,” Trump said. ...”

The mission is meant to help allay concerns from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and other NATO allies over an increasingly unpredictable and bellicose Russia.

Are you effing kidding me? It feels like we're living 1984; "We've always been at war with Eastasia".

Obama has been unpredictable and bellicose. He has ginned up this entire Russian hacking thing. Russia appears to have been pretty laid back considering Obama's B.S..

It would be great let the Russians occupy the refugee infested Germany. Only the Russian can deal with these rapists

Silverleaf,

Yes, some did become refugee centers. I know that the former 2nd Bde, 3d Armored Division kaserne in received refugees around 1992-3 from Bosnia.

Berlin, it looks like the German Army is using Lucius Clay Kaserne in Garlstedt, near Bremerhaven.
