I think it is possible he’s mentally unhinged; of course any devout moslem is for sure mentally unhinged, and only the mentally unhinged are attracted to convert. But I also think it is possible or likely that the new “meme” for jihadi attacks in the West is “mentally unstable”. Used to be “just a lone wolf” until there were too many; now it’s “Oh he’s not a real moslem, just mentall ill”.
