Trying to recall but I believe at both LAX and Seattle-Tacoma airports, which I’ve most recently been to, you have to go through TSA first.
On the way out you may pass by/thru security. Checked baggage area is always accessible to everyone. This was a soft target.
Not Baggage Claim, just access to the Gates.
Not SeaTac. You can pull up in the arrivals lane and walk straight into the baggage claim area.
