16 year old Michael Brown, keyboard player for The Left Banke, wrote “Walk Away Renee” about bass player Tom Finn’s girlfriend, Renee Fladen-Kamm, who was in the studio when the band recorded the song. Brown said his hands were shaking the whole time.
