Greta Van Susteren has over the course of her career held forth for both CNN and Fox News Channel. Now shes going to do the same for MSNBC.
The NBCUniversal-owned cable-news outlet said Thursday that it had hired Van Susteren to anchor its 6 p.m. hour, which had previously been occupied by a political-news program, With All Due Respect. That program, hosted by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin, had been produced by Bloomberg Television and re-played on MSNBC as part of a programming agreement.
Van Susteren, who left Fox News Channel in the wake of a contract dispute last year, will now hold down the hour in an original program, the network said.
Her show, For the Record with Greta, will debut Monday, Jan. 9.
Her hire marks the second time in recent days that NBCUniversal has dipped into a talent pool long associated with the conservative-leaning Fox News Channel and suggests that the company, where NBCU News Group chairman Andy Lack oversees both MSNBC and NBC News, is working to lure an audience that it perceives to be in tune with the current political climate, in which Republicans control the White House and both sides of Congress. NBC News said Tuesday that it had hired Fox News primetime host Megyn Kelly to launch both a daytime program and a Sunday newsmagazine.

So hiring Megyn Kelly is supposed to lure in Trump voters? I don’t get it.
Shepard Smith belongs over there too.....Wish they would dump his sorry A$$
I found her under the Wikipedia entry for World’s Most Boring Human.
I hope they have a “clear” Scientology room for her and have instructed security to keep Xenu out of the building.
Hiring Van Susteren or Me again Kelly is like buying a 2nd hand suit from Goodwill....
So Greta’s new NBC 6 PM (EST) time slot is 5 PM in the Central Standard Time Zone.
Time zone differences in (CST) put Greta up against Brett Baier? What am I missing? That seems very odd.
Send him, Juan Williams and Geraldo hand in hand.
Ron Hubbard. I believe he started scientology and I guess Greta dabbles in it. She is smart and “different”, at the same time. Her oddness is probably personality and not so much her interest in following scientology. Maybe.
Like Megain...moving into obscurity.
I always found her very naive.
Can’t blame her. I love Greta. And she has to put food on the table. I feel bad for her that she has to go to a hellhole like MSNBC where you have to check your integrity at the door before entering...

Nobody (who has their ear to the ground) does / how'd you like to have that job and responsibility to make editorial and personnel decisions? We could turn them around for half the salary and only work 40 hours a week at it.
I dont plan on watching Greta but maybe she will bring some sanity to the network. She was a good friend of Tony Snow. She is friends with PEOTUS Trump and the Palins. She also has done several trips with Samaritans Purse.
IMO, Fox started going down hill long time ago.
Greta was also at the forefront of fighting for the release of the Soldier who was jailed in Mexico when he took a wrong turn at the border.
She’s not anything like the flaks Rachel Madcow and Chris Matthews are.
Really? Thinking about it, I kind of see it in some of her facial expressions and questions. I had attributed it to her being a good listener, but I know that facial expression of hers and it could have indicated naivety, as well.
Too bad. I liked her, but I won’t turn on MSNBC for anyone.
With the recent post-Trump election overhaul on FoxNews, I'll probably never stray over to MSNBC but I wish her well. Maybe she'll bring a little horse sense to those MSNBC cucks.
No, not horse scent! Horse sense! Pay attention.
