“Simple is better. Keeps it classic.”
When I worked for Four Seasons, we had strict rules for dress because the clientele — much of it “old money” — expected “classic”. Nothing gauche. No more than one ring on each hand (wedding set counted as one). Only one bracelet (wearing many together was “in” then). Only one necklace. No dangling earrings, and earrings no larger than a nickel.
That’s all respectable and what one expects to see in a five star resort or hotel.
