Whatever happened to all those governors and states that said they wouldn’t take syrian refugees, did they stand by that or did they cave? Anybody know?
That’s a great question. I recall Obamadishu attempting to strong-arm Gov. Abbott of Texas. Correct me if this is wrong, but it sounds like Abbott says, HELL NO. Behind his back, in secret, some of the mayors of places from places like Houston & Austin want the $$$ and are willing to sell out and enjoin with lib federal resettlement policies. (Read post #19- The VT mayor negotiated with the feds in secret.)
That corruption of power needs to stop. The mayors and all other state employees are accountable to their governor and state, not fed-gov. That relationship needs to end of skirting state laws to grab money from fed-gov and flaunt state laws and the wishes of the people of Texas or Vermont or Georgia or Minnesota.
The conflict lies with the fact that state funding (educational, medical, transportation) is necessary to support each invader. This can’t continue unabated in our lands. It demonstrates yet another way of going around the voice of the people of a state, by individual unqualified leftist political hack judges or by the mayors elected to serve a city within a STATE.
The federal government is bribing the mayors of cities within whose states they can not control.
