Wow! Two similar sentences, are they both Civil Rights violations?
So many decades of creeping leftism have acclimated even “average Americans” to looking at issues from the negative side. How can I coerce, punish, etc. these people into doing what I want, or at least into executing a satisfactory cringe before me?
And that’s the devil’s trap. “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind” as Gandhi put it. Without someone being willing to be generous even to sinners, we pull ourselves tightly into the trap.
God, literally, is the answer. God is a fount of unlimited generosity, asking only sincere glorification for it. This goes beyond “religion” to spirituality. It can turn parsimony inside out.
