I’m not a shotgunner myself, but I don’t think they are typically stored in a case like that. Valuable guns usually get put into a safe, or maybe a locking display case.
Kinda sounds like they could use duck calls more than locks.

Every gun I’ve bought from a retailer has come with a lock. I think there was legislation passed that required a lock be sold with every gun. In any case the lock itself is not a lot of money. Gun grabbing organization did this purely for headlines and the press obliged.

Yup. I think the Feds require a lock with every handgun, but only a few states require locks with long guns. It's probably cheaper to include the locks with everything than to deal with the inventory complications. I doubt the locks cost even $1. State-to-state magazine limit variations are complicated enough. (Pssst ... President Trump... if Obama can use the Federal "power of the purse" to force states to allow perverts to use the little girls' room, maybe you can use financial leverage to do something about this.)
