I think you are right, with a lot more of the first. Our Congress critters have finally gotten a true leader with a backbone, now they seem to be growing one themselves.
A look to the future, 2018 will be even better. More democrats are going to be losing their seats, and a lot of the useless ones in the republican party too.
That leads to the next step, the voters are getting a backbone too. That started when Trump announced he was running. over 100,000 people in 3 states alone left the democrat party and went republican to be able to vote for Trump in the primaries. That will continue once people start noticing Trump is making a positive difference, which is already happening.
Congress is finally starting to listen to the people, at least a little. More likely, they are listening to their new boss. They are starting to realize he is actually their new boss, and don’t want to be on his bad side. The primaries showed them what happens to those who continue with business as usual.
Expect two things...
Expect President Stompy Feet to do everything he can to diminish Trump before he takes office, and expect him to pull off more attacks on Israel.
OK Three things...expect Trump to take everything in stride and be diplomatic about it until Jan 21, as he has been doing, then watch out. He has already hinted at this.
People in general and our Congress critters specifically need to realize Trump is a lot more intelligent than the press will admit, and he’s a lot more informed about world events than they admit, and when he says things are going to change, he means it. Those who have known him for 20 or 30 years will tell you he actually does what he says, and don’t even think about telling him he can’t do it...that’s a challenge he will never resist. He’ll move Jupiter out of its orbit to get it done. That’s the way he rolls. He didn’t manage to become a billionaire by being a dumbass...

As I read this, Congress allegedly intends to defund the U.N., and since one of their primary responsibilities is to manage the budget and spending decisions, is perfectly within their Constitutional power.
So do I. But, I suspect that Stompy Feet will pardon Mrs. Clinton. This can actually work for Trump, in a view of political expediency. He won't have to attack her, thus giving the MSM a new narrative of "vindictive, mean, heartless...". But the AG definitely needs to go after Chelsea, Cheryl Mills, ValJar, Podesta, etc.
Many of us reached that conclusion years ago. Apart from his anti-Semitism, Carter is generally a decent person, but was a lousy president. LBJ was a racist scumbag and a lousy president, but at least he didn't hate this country.

Not exactly. The Senate, representing state governments, certainly was intended to have input into foreign policy. And the Congress has absolute power over spending, domestic or foreign.

He’s far from insane. He’s implementing what has been his agenda for two terms. What he’s doing now is what Rush envisioned when he said he hoped Obama’s Presidency fails. Sadly, it didn’t fail; it’s reaching fruition in Hussein’s final days.

Trump has to make nice with Barry until he is sworn in.
Trump’s organization will probably keep their mouth shut and powder dry until all of the pieces are in place before setting his plan in motion.

I’m not. Congress is long on talk but short on substance. They bloviate and posture over virtually everything, always claiming they’re going to do this or that. They want you to think they are leading the charge but they are always sitting comfortably and safely behind the lines. They are talkers, not doers.
