CBO is the government’s nonpartisan scorekeeper, the agency that tells Congress how much new programs cost and who they’ll cover. This is important, because in principle you could provide insurance coverage to everyone while spending practically nothing if you were willing to make the insurance totally worthless.

How’s the CBO’s track record when it comes to Obamacare? Did they predict its huge failure?
About 8 to 10 million people who didn’t have insurance will no longer be subsidized to have insurance. Everyone else’s premiums will be cut by about 30% or 40%. Sounds good to me.
Btw, isn’t this the same CBO that said Obamacare would be a net savings to the budget and consumers before the final crucial vote?
The same CBO which twisted itself into a pretzel in it’s initial scoring of Obamacare in order to meet Barky’s mandate that the cost come in under $1 trillion.

Blog Post? Why would the CBO Blog to Congressional Republicans? The CBO works out of one of the Congressional Office Buildings on the House of Representatives Side of the Hill.
Keep in mind that in 2009, the CBO estimated that Obamacare would cause insurance premiums to rise no more than 10% to 13%.
