A new oil portrait of President-elect Donald Trump was unveiled Wednesday and will join the C-SPAN presidents collection.
The picture is the first portrait created of Trump since he was elected. It will be added to the 44 other presidential portraits as part of C-SPAN's "American Presidents: Life Portraits" exhibit.
The exhibit has been touring the country since 1999.
The portrait was produced by Chas Fagan, a North Carolina painter and sculptor.
Fagan said one of the more challenging parts of creating the portrait of the president-elect was his eyes. "In most photos, his eyes are in shadow and difficult to see, in part due to his distinctive brow line," Fagan told C-SPAN.
"But eyes are such a recognizable feature, and necessary to give a portrait warmth and personality, so I worked to give them a bit more prominence. I think the result is that we have a softer look into his face than we often get from public media photography."

Yay, about time we had another redhead!
I guess JFK must have had some redhead genes - fair complexion, light eyebrows and eyelashes. Not that I identify with him at all.
Maybe they could put one of Sir Edmund Hillary there too since the real Hillary didn’t quite make it!
