For weeks now, nightmares have been jolting Olga Perez Stable Cox awake several hours before sunrise. Sometimes she’s able to fall back asleep, but more often she finds herself lying in the dark, body tossing and thoughts racing, until she’s reduced to tears.
The morning offers fleeting distractions but no permanent relief — a cup of coffee, some Christmas decorating, maybe a phone call from concerned friends.
But the blinds in her home will remain closed, her door will remain locked and the formerly outgoing professor — a woman who has always thrived by connecting with others — will spend another day isolated by fear, weeping, too scared to walk outside.

I didn’t see a single threat in there. No one wrote “I’m coming to harm you, kill you, etc.”, none of that.
People were calling her names, like libtard and racist. She simply got back what she dished out.

In more sane years this kind of thing was treated as “female hysteria” and one of the treatments was usually to get paired with a strong man for a much-needed sense of security but also for guidance because one of the causes is a woman operating well outside of her mental limits...like a 6th grader trying to learn calculus.
It was also stated as one reason that women should never, ever be anywhere near a combat zone except in a well-protected hospital.

On some issues this “Professor” is right: The country is divided and she lives in a state that exemplifies this phenomenon. Hopefully she will forcefully join California’s secessionist movement and make all her classroom rants moot.
yep, likely hoax. But if it’s not, I’d say “Welcome to Life as a Conservative”.
Maybe her name means that her sexuality occurs in a stable.
Maybe the good “professor” should have not opted for the cloistered, protected world of academia, and gone out into the real world to begin with, so she could have developed some common sense. The real world is a good teacher; stupid decisions or inaction if punished, and good decisions usually rewarded.

I am glad she lives in California too. I could make some crude statements about her last name and choice of major field of study, but being a gentleman, I won’t.
When she expounds so viciously herself about a candidate who won the election with half the legitimate votes in the nation, what the hell does she expect?
“Gee, Ms. Cox, that was awful mean of you to use your classroom to attack white people and Trump like that! It makes me so mad I could pass up my sushi!!”

Ya know, by the time I hit college, I had the basics pretty well figured out. Of course, not as well figured out as I talked with the guys, but I didn't need an instructor to help me either.
