Why do you think it is okay to tempt someone to commit a crime, arrest them, throw them in jail or prison where they will likely be beaten because of the charge, then convict them effectively ruining their life, but there is no victim?

It would go along way to answering your question if you had answered my previous question about parents pimping out their own kids. Meaning that we live in a very disturbed world.
We are not talking about leaving an unlocked Corvette running in a mall parking lot.
We are talking about the fact that REAL KIDS are preyed upon by savages with an overpowering, demented need they are going to fulfill eventually. There may have been no victim here (except of course the ‘poor’ guy who was snared) but God knows there are victims everyday. When you come up with a better solution than this cop (very possibly on his own time), please let the world know.
Any parent that pimps out their kid should be killed. Period. End of story.
We’re talking about men that go onto ADULT ONLY websites and contact or are contacted by someone that CLAIMS to be of age then that person changes their story multiple times, and before any exchanges are made or any commitment to actually having sexual contact the man is arrested and his life ruined. Just because there are very few people out there that go looking specifically for children to abuse?

I think you are misunderstanding me a little bit as well.
The cops should protect children, absolutely.
But they should perform these stings on websites that are for kids, chat rooms for kids, and other websites for kids.
NOT ON ADULT WEBSITES. BAIT AND SWITCH STINGS ARE WRONG.
