Forget about Reid.

The question is, can patriots support Trump to drain the swamp by 2020?

In fact, with Trump at the wheel, why not have that swamp drained by 2018?

It would take 60 seats in the Senate for the Republicans to be “at the wheel.” And even then, “the Republicans” and “President Trump” are not one and the same.

In 2018 the Republicans must recruit and support strong candidates to oppose the 25 incumbent Democrats up for reelection. Ten of those from states Trump won. Doesn’t make it a cakewalk to beat them, but . . .

If the Republicans can’t gain serious ground in 2018, when half the Senate Democrats (plus one) face re-election, how are they to retain control of the Senate in ’20 and ’22 when the Democrats only have to defend about a dozen seats and the Republicans have to defend 21?
