Going to miss him. The people who should have paid heed to him, didn’t.

A good writer and enjoyed reading his pieces.
He’s sharper at 86 than me, now.
Dr. Sowell’s writings will be missed. He has shown to me that I must be quite prejudiced. With the death of Milton Friedman, the only two economists that I really trust, Sowell and Williams, are both black.
First heard of Sowell right here on FR - gonna miss the gentleman’s insightful input.
I can see a lot of Ansel Adams in his black and while photography. Will miss his columns.
I will be sowell-less for the new year... not looking bright.
I remember reading Dr. Sowell’s columns in the old Pittsburgh Press as a middle-schooler. Played a key role in forming my political ideas.
Thanks for everything, Dr. Sowell, and enjoy your retirement!
OOPs I thought this was your opus!!!!
Dang. Such a good guy. His input will be missed.
I will miss his brilliance coupled with practical insight.
Enjoy retirement, Dr. Sowell.
It has been wonderful to read his insightful truths. He is not a never trumper.. he is a never stimulus, never settled law, never .. well we will have to work something out on the dreamers, he is a never govt should be part of healthcare and he is never ivanka trump children’s taxpayer cash machine and he is never joe gun grabber manchin.. he is never CEO Christmas bailout, he is never jobs created or saved using the taxpayer wallet. Those are the things that you disagreed withobama on, and yet trumps trillion in stimulus will be like parting the Red Sea. Enjoy your retirement, we will enjoy your photography.. 86.. I am impressed.. such clarity.
Interesting, isn’t it, what we consider poverty now and ‘back then’.
In 1982, my step-mom left my dad and vowed she “wouldn’t return until he installed indoor plumbing” in the farm house. This was just outside of Montgomery, AL. She lived in town for about 3 months, and returned to indoor plumbing.
Does the article qualify as an Opus?
A good rule of thumb for conservatives: If you disagree with Thomas Sowell, you should go back and re-think your arguments and figure out where you went wrong.
