Most of the people opposed to this thought it was as creating some kind of internal passport. What it was really doing was setting a standard for state ID and proof of identity.

Its 6 pages. You read it and it says nothing about legal citizens just that you place gender and personal info on your state ID. Why would the TSA need to know all that to let me fly a private aircraft.
It should be your name picture and status of your citzenship. Would it be great all driver license show if your illegal????

The standard is useless if you don’t have control of your borders.

During a break-in in Florida, my raised-seal birth certificate & social security card were stolen. I know these ID documents are being used, since I occasionally get demand notices from the IRS demanding the taxes the illegal who is using my ID isn’t paying.

Once an illegal has this documentation, he can get a passport & driver’s license.
