Multiple sources from across the Jewish organizational world and in Congress are accusing the Obama administration of stabbing “Israel in the back” on Friday by choosing not to veto a United Nations resolution censuring the Jewish state, according to conversations with sources.
The resolution, which has been floating through the U.N. for some time, finally came to a vote in the Security Council on Friday, where the Obama administration reversed years of policy by abstaining from the vote instead of vetoing it.
The decision quickly drew outrage across the pro-Israel community and in Congress, where multiple sources told the Washington Free Beacon that the incoming Trump administration is likely to pursue consequences for the U.N.’s action.
Israeli officials also lashed out at the Obama administration, calling its behavior “shameful” and alleging that President Obama used the anti-Israel vote as a way to express his hostility for the Jewish state before vacating the Oval Office.

I hear that real estate for a new UN headquarters is quite affordable in Aleppo.
I believe we have never officially supported Israel’s settlements.
We do support Israel, its official borders and its right to exist peacefully.
The West Bank “settlement” problem needs to be dealt with.
I suspect many settlers are settlers for economic reasons - Israeli real estate prices can be very high.
Perhaps an approximately 30-mile commuter rail line could be built between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, underground in the developed areas of those cities with stations in employment centers.
Low-cost housing could be built near stations on low-cost now rural land in Israel and existing settlers in the West Bank could be offered first chance to move into the low-cost housing.
Commuters could be in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem quickly.
Israel will still need to control the West Bank to keep Arab heavy artillery and rockets out of it.
By right of conquest, the West Bank should belong to Israel.
A so-called "two-state solution" is never going to work if the inhabitants of one state are sworn to annihilate the inhabitants of the other.
And I don't see that mindset changing until the Israelis kick the living dog crap out of the Palestinians.

Obama was an anti- American. Anti- Christian. Anti Jewish islamonazi rat from the very git-go. He hasn’t just joined them. Israel will now build, thrive, and prosper as she should, without concern for what obama wants. The land is hers and no islamonazi infiltrator in our White House ( -and certainly no United Nazis resolution) can steal it from her.
I’m a little more harsh about it than you. I think Trump should adopt a take no prisoners approach, get us out of the UN and kick them out of the US. Never mind changing their attitude, get us out, kick them out. The UN is anti America, tell them to pound sand.
As for this mess, Obama is trying to do as much damage as he can before he is booted out of the White House. So much for a smooth transition...
