Florida is the worst....You can easily spend hundreds of dollars in tolls driving around the state.

The new system will be set up beginning in January at the Queens-Midtown and Hugh Carey Brooklyn Battery tunnels, and then throughout the year at the Rockaway, RFK Triborough, Verrazano-Narrows, Throgs Neck and Bronx-Whitestone bridges.Fixed. Nobody in NYC cares about the stupid name changes; original names are used by people.

This essay appeared at FR in 2005, and it laid out what will happen when we charge a usage fee for all highways.

I’d assume that Cuomo will give all the toll booth workers a golden parachute so that they never have to work another day in their life.
At Jones Beach in Long Island, they hire nice kids in the summer who sit in a toll booth to collect fees for beach parking. They’re a far cry from the fat assed, nasty city workers who collect tolls at all the city bridges and tunnels.

Not completely true. I live right by “the Jackie”, which has a nicer ring to it than “Interboro Parkway”.

My wife is a travel nurse and we move every 3-6 months. Thankfully we have the EZ Pass, but what if we didn’t? Are we to depend on someone going to our home once a week to go through our mail? I detest the government.

...and the visitors are from out of state, how many will tear up the bill? Typical liberal move with unintended consequences wrapped up and ready.

Meanwhile, the idiots that run CT are talking about putting tolls BACK on I-95.

I was not aware that they changed the names. Thanks for the real names.
Congratulations Cuomo! you've just killed jobs.

Are these also pedestrian and/or biking bridges?
To: dfwgator
I live in FL and drive all around without paying any tolls.

My ez pass comes electronically.

Of course NYC will have to raise Triple the Taxes to make up for the toll money.
That’s progress.
