Debunking the claim that “Palestinians” are the indigenous people of Israel
Jerusalem Post ^ | May 12, 2015 | DANIEL GRYNGLAS

Posted on 12/17/2016 11:49:45 PM PST by Enchante

Despite the substantial documentation assembled by Peters, demonstrating massive Arab immigration into Palestine, anti-Israel propagandists continue to deny it. Based on what we know today, and the simple truths of basic math, the issue has become clear and unambiguous. All historic records indicate that only insignificant number of long-term settled Muslims were present in Palestine before 1882, when the large Jewish immigration began. Muslim Arab numbers increased dramatically as Jewish settlements developed infrastructure and provided work opportunities to Arabs from the neighboring countries.

Also worth noting is that the “indigenous” 4.3% comprised many non-Arab nationalities. All of them were swamped by the Arab immigrants and within a few generations largely lost their identity.

Given the complete absence of any historical record to the contrary, we can authoritatively say that the “Palestinian people” never existed until they were invented in the 1960s as a tool for continuing the Arab war against Israel.

The claim that “Palestinians” are the indigenous people of Israel and that most of the present Palestinian Arabs have lived in these lands since time immemorial is a total fraud. Albeit posthumously, Joan Peters has had the last word on the subject.

Because I think they are rooted commonly

Palesthia

Or something like that in old Assyrian and Egyptian writings dating to 1200 BC

Right around the end of Moses life in 1200 BC

I don’t care about who came first

By that measure we should leave leave the Western Hemisphere unless you’re Amerindian

Modern Palestinians are pretty much Hashemite Jordanians or maybe some are Lebanese ethnics

How many Palestinians are Canaanite descended is as spurious as how Israelite or Judaic are modern Jews which in my opinion sure as hell varies from quite a bit to not much

The Jews deserve a homeland and they wanted that place for sentimental reasons and they got it

It wasn’t necessarily a pretty investment but they held it and they act better than their crazy neighbors so I prefer them myself

But you could have put them in Dade county or Long Island or Scottsdale or Kracow and they woulda done fine

I would note that many of the Palestinian refugee class were Christian and that in fact the earliest Palestinian terrorists were in fact Christian like Habash and Haddad

FREEPERS like things simple and sentimental

But this nuance is why much of the world is more ambivalent about Israel than are we

Our media has always been pro Israel and our Christian churches too but it’s not like it is here anywhere else

I lived overseas and it’s not anti Semitism

That’s a cop out reply

Another reason is everywhere else you get another view from the media

Oddly though here I’m noticing academia and the left even the huge Jewish left is more hostile to Israel than I’ve ever seen

Is it because they hate Netanyahu

Israel is lucky we’re so Christian a nation and are the second home to Jews (almost first actually)

Without those two things their difficult road would be so much worse than it already is

This claim that Jewish Eastern European ancestry is not from Israel, is false, and has been used by those opposed to the existence of Israel.

Previous to DNA information, the movement and ancestry of the Ashkenazi (Eastern European Jewish people) have been well known. Transiting from Italy, concentrating in the upper Rhineland, at the time when Charlemagne invited them around 800. They grew in number there, and spoke a language partially Hebrew and partially German called Yiddish. They wrote that language in the Hebrew alphabet.

At the time of the first Crusade in 1095 there were massacres and expulsions against Jews in the Rhineland area. At the same time the large Lithuanian Empire, later the combined Polish Lithuanian nation, wanted Jewish immigration. The Ashkenazi people moved in mass from Germany and France to what would later become the Baltics, Poland, Ukraine, Belorus, Moldava, and other nearby areas.

The Khazars, whose nobility converted to Judiasm in the 900’s, were never converted in large numbers, and were not an existing Jewish nationality by the time that Jews moved to that region in the 1100’s. People who try to deny a Jewish connection to Israel often bring up the Khazars.

DNA analysis shows not only Jewish ancestry by Ashkenazim, but also for those who are Cohens (paternally descended from Moses’s brother Aaron), a unique marker.

Ashkenazi Jewish traditions, and ancient Rabbis often quoted, show the places as well. Moving between the places described above.

Furthermore, half of the Israeli Jewish population is Sephardic, who lived in areas from Spain to Iran, and maintained their religion through many centuries of Islamic rule. They were all forced to leave their homes after Israel was created. They didn’t become refugees, demanding to recover their homes in Arab lands. Instead they helped build a new nation in Israel.

Hey fire off the cannons

I actually agree with you on something

It’s a contentious bone here

Many FREEPERS insist on fairy tale history to justify their emotive reasonings on Israel

I support Israel just cause I like them

I don’t need all their moral tap dancing to justify it

But yes some of that hypocrisy u allude to irks me

There are limits to my preaching of tolerance comes to mind

The holocaust really threw the usual rationale about nation building fairness out the window

Without it there would have been no path the old Zionists needed

Oh come on

Christian Arabs were 10% of the Mandate population in 1946

Many fled during the war and lost everything

I know several of those families

Those in lucky areas not caught up in the battles survived and many are now Israelis

Whatever u want to call these folks

Druze

Muslim

Christian

A lot of folks got displaced rightfully or wrongly

Armed Nation building is never pretty

Israel at least didn’t butcher the vanquished did they which is what some Muslims would have sure done to them

There’s no dispute tat today given the rabbit breeding of the muslin she there are now millions descended from their 1948 diaspora and Israel would never just kill them all so what to do with them

Worse they are radicalized now unlike 70 years ago

Shiite Amal and Hezbollah and Hamas control the refugees and Lebanon making it all much worse

Iran basically is the power broker

The Christians mostly gave up the struggle and moved on but some are still in Gaza and West Bank and southern Lebanon

It’s a mess and Syria right next door

A Yom Kippur war vet friend of mine on Muslim arabs

They are at your throat or your feet...,you choose

They respect a firm hand

No one can fix this

When Ted Cruz said that I was done with him forever.

It's odd how so many supported him on that though, including morons like Walid Shoebat. All the Cruz supporters at the time sided against the Christians, calling them anti-semites. Of course when many later became Trump supporters, they changed their story.

>> Typical example is the statement of Ted Cruz to Arab Christians: “If you will not stand with Israel and the Jews, then I will not stand with you.” <<

Not just Ted Cruz; Yehova has been saying that for 2000 years. (actually longer)

This is the message to the whole world: If you will not seek and join with Israel, you will be destroyed along with your daddy Satan.

Perfectly brainwashed...

Have you actually read the Gospel (if you consider yourself a Christian)?

You would not talk that way.

Why would God destroy someone who, say, shows lukewarm support for a secular state founded by atheists?

Ah I see... another Judaizing “Christian” who has not understood the meaning of Salvation through Christ and still believes in the tales of the “chosen people” (who rejected Christ).

If you are not on Christ’s side, you are not saved. This is the core of Christian faith. No extra rules for Jews.
A true Christian would side with his brothers and sisters in Christ - unconditionally. Making solidarity with brutally persecuted Christians dependant on their attitude towards “Israel and Jews” is fundamentally un-Christian, even anti-Christian.

Leaving aside the fact that the modern state of Israel is a worldly state created by secular, mostly socialist-oriented nationalists. It is not “godly”... just because they call it Israel and misguided Judaizing “Christian” zealots want to see it that way.

Let’s not forget the Grand Mufti, who smeared gold all over the Dome of the Rock, a previously dilapidated, forgotten mosque, incited pogrom after pogrom in Israel and then in Iraq, and was so helpful to Hitler, and was apparently involved in the genocide of Armenians in Turkey.

I thought that Husseini got his training in the Turkish Army, as an officer in their campaign of genocide against the Armenians in 1916.

This is where he got the idea in the first place, they killed Armenians, they can do the same to the Jews! Hey Hitler! Have I got a pact for you!!

I haven’t had that confirmed yet, but the Jewish Virtual Library does say that he served in the area where a lot of Armenians were slaughtered.

I am pretty sure he was an officer in the Turkish Army in WWI and was DIRECTLY involved in the Armenian slaughter...

I don’t doubt it. He was an aristocratic little SOB, and I’m sure that automatically entitled him to a commission, and if they stationed him where they were killing Armenians, I’m sure he must have taken part. But I’d very much like to see documented confirmation, some sort of a service record, even if it’s in Turkish.

I would laugh were your situation not so sad.

Judaizing? just the opposite. Judahizing is for the Pharisees. I stick with just exactly what Yeshua preached.

You obviously have no idea who the chosen people are. Its not your fault completely, since we were all lied to.

Yeshua told us that he was sent only to the lost sheep of the House of Israel (Mat 15:24). He never lied.

He is still working to gather those same lost sheep.

He told us in Matthew 5 that Torah will remain the sole path to the righteousness that the Father demands.

The lost hate Torah, and grasp at any lie that seems to give them an excuse to reject the instruction in righteousness that comes from the law of liberty (Torah).

“Christian” has absolutely nothing to do with our savior. Christianity came into being in the mid 4th century as a means to demolish Yeshua’s Way. Christianity rejects all that Yeshua and his apostles preached, and follows the pagan days of sun god worship that Constantine declared as replacement for Yeshua.

It is apparent that you have chosen to allow your hatred of Yehova’s people (even though you have no idea who they are) to deny your chance at eternal life.

The four gospels and the Acts are all about Yeshua and his people, and tell in detail what his way is, since that is all that he and his followers observed.

Try to shoehorn your antisemitism in there some time, and good luck on that.

You mock the work of Yehova.

You have made his land your stumbling block.

Try reading what his word says about those that you emulate.
