Don't dare deport our kids! L.A. County to warn Trump (Trump: "Adios Amigos")

Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis will seek the support... to protect county residents from changes in federal immigration policy in light of President-elect Trump’s illegal immigration statements.... " we are standing with them and that we will do what we can to provide security and safety.”...

“... people have been very disturbed, very distraught, in particular our most vulnerable, our children,” Solis said. “Our young children who are thinking, `Mom, are you going to get deported because you’re not here legally and I was born here? What’s going to happen to me? What’s going to happen to us?”‘

Solis will ask that county staffers analyze all services provided to immigrants and how changes in federal funding could impact those programs. She’d also like to consider a permanent Office of Immigrant Affairs and wants to explore the county’s authority to prevent federal immigration enforcement at courts, schools and hospitals.

“I would hate to see us claw back some of the reforms that we made with law enforcement as a result of getting rid of 287g (an agreement that had sheriff’s deputies enforcing immigration law) and also providing more of a buffer between ICE agents and their ability to come into our jails,”.[snip]

Under DACA, children brought to the US before age 16 can apply for work permits and live without the threat of deportation. The Center for American Progress estimated deporting DACA workers could create a $433.4 billion loss in national GDP over a decade.....

Obama took executive action to expand DACA for parents - the Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents. Those moves have been blocked by lawsuits that went as far as the U.S. Supreme Court, a 4-4 vote sent the matter back to the lower court. Trump has promised to terminate both programs.

No it isn’t. It is a beautiful state and there are still many great smaller cities and towns that haven’t been ruined. It’s truly a spectacular place to vacation and has some great people.

The people that are leaders are just so darn nutty and foolish. It’s really a shame that there allowing an invasion. The federal government needs to insist that they enforce they follow the laws and cut the funding. The pocketed sanctuary cities (dozens) around the rest the country need to do the same.

I’ve read a lot of the financial reports for these type organizations. A very high percentage of the funding comes from government.

These faith based organizations cannot act independently if they’re sold out to the government.

There should be a separation of church and state. Our government likes for faith based groups to handle questionable matters such as these because it makes it harder for people to be critical of what they’re doing. Not many want to criticize faith-based organizations. It’s sort of a shield they hide behind. Individuals get to cash in on the business and government gets to dump millions on us.

The DREAM Act never passed Congress and is not binding as US law. Obama illegally created---DACA---Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals---to defer deportation.

The scam works this way: signed Boobamba memos "delegate" to federal agencies orders to come up with plans (that must advance Boobamba's global conspiracy to overthrow the US govt w/ Third World federales and their cadres jumping the US border).

I was hoping that he had.

Build the wall, remove incentives, punish employers and cities that keep these ILLEGAL invaders here.

Force them to self deport.
We cannot round them up and deport as effectively as this plan would work.
The ones in our prisons would be easy enough but, the rest need incentive to leave.

You think people who were brought here as children by their parents and have been here at least ten years hate us ? Those so-called “dreamers” are the only ones I left open to the possibility of military enlistment. And only if they have no criminal or gang record.

The children born here of illegals are U.S. citizens by our own law, so we can’t just send ‘em back with their parents. But here’s an idea; those of us who are compassionate, financially able and capable should offer to foster a child or two whose parents were deported.

This accomplishes two things. It shuts up the raving leftists who call us haters for wanting secure borders and the rule of law. And it allows the children in question to grow up seeing us as other than enemies.

There will probably be few takers of the offer anyway, but it is a good one to make.

One thing that has to be avoided, though, is a common practice in the minority communities. There are those who take on foster children for the social services money, much as some welfare queens pump out kid after kid to increase their checks. That is not acceptable.
