Yes that’s true. I’ts a given they are partisan or they wouldn’t have been made Electors in the first place. That is one of things that has made me uneasy about the perception that their vote is automatic when we know there some pretty deep dislike for Trump within the GOP Establishment and most of the Electors are tied to that establishment. Give them a good enough reason/excuse could they go with someone else or abstain? Well that is the question isn’t it?

Neutral or not they are supposed to be honorable and cast their vote as a reflection of the will of the people of their respective states not their own preferences.
Serious or not, about changing their vote, they are dishonoring the position they have been honored with and are deliberately casting doubt on the election and the system as a whole. That is a dishonorable and despicable thing to do.
