I thought that the Holy Family was on the road at the time of the Lord’s birth only due to the census, and that after the birth they returned to Nazareth. Did I miss something?
God told Joseph to take his family to Egypt, Jesus’ life was in danger.
But He was not a “migrant”, that’s a liberal fabrication.
Correct, except for his Egypt exile from Herod, while a child. And while in Egypt the family took advantage of all of the Egyptian govmint programs: Pharoahcare, grainary stamps, etc.
After the wise men left, Joseph was warned in a dream to go to Egypt because Herod would seek the child in order to kill Him. Then after Herod died, Joseph and Mary returned to Nazareth.
