To wit: How many people actually read the leaked/hacked Podesta emails? I mean, there where tens of thousands of them, if not more. No one person could have read all those emails before the election. It took TEAMS of journalists to comb over them night and day.
99.9% of voters did not read those emails. So I can’t see any way they could have swayed the election one way or the other.
Media characterizations of them may have swayed a few people not to vote for Clinton ... to either vote 3rd party or not vote at all. But I can’t see how these reports could have swayed a Clinton voter to vote for Trump.
There is NO WAY to prove that the election was swayed by the release of the Podesta emails. I personally do not know one other person who even tried to read the emails. I read about 200 or so of them at random over several weeks. They did not sway my vote at all.
The Project Veritas videos probably swayed more votes or swayed some people who were planning to vote for Clinton to not vote at all. But even that I don’t think had a significant enough effect to sway the entire election.
I agree with your comment. This is the next level beyond it mattering who leaked the emails. These leaks didn’t really matter.
Except for the Bernie voters and the DNC emails, nobody else probably cared or was swayed by these releases.
It either reinforced what people suspected / knew about Hillary, or it didn’t matter to people to whom Hillary could do no wrong.
A side comment - Stein was complaining about all the recorded votes where the ballot votes were cast for all election races except president, where no candidate was voted for. What is the mystery about that? If there was ever an election where “none of the above” would get a significant number of votes, this was it.
