I understand the concept of the Electoral College. But why do there have to be”middle men” Electors? Why can’t we skip the middle man and have the electoral votes for each state be credited to that state’s winner immediately after the state’s election is certified? I’m sure there must be a reason, but it doesn’t really make sense.

I wondered that also, I haven't talked to anyone around my precinct for about two weeks...next time we met, I will bring that up...thank you...and if I find anything I will let you know...good question...
