Not exactly, that is the NRC that regulates commercial nuke power plants.
But DOE folks administer contractors that work at nuke weapon production/support sites (Pantex, Savannah River, Hanford, etc) and administer myriad cleanup operations of former facilities used in the past for weapons cycle activities.
Thanks for the correction. I thought the NRC was part of the DOE but it is independent.
